Instructional Design

  • Reviewing learning resources and assessments to ensure proper alignment to the intended objectives and facilitates buy-in for necessary changes.

  • Providing instructional design consultation to program; assists in the development of contextually rich, engaging, and objective-driven courses that focus on applicable real-world/workplace skills.

  • Applying evidence-based curriculum development strategies to the design of degree programs.

  • Utilizing content knowledge, collaboration with subject-matter experts, and in-depth study of related resources to create courses that represent current, research-based ideas.

  • Developing and editing materials including competency statements, learning objectives, and other relevant documentation.

  • Developing online learning environments, completing program curriculum mapping, identifying learning resources, and maps learning resources to course/program objectives and competencies in collaboration with University partners.

  • Designing content for delivery in online environments and completing instructional design documentation to ensure quality and consistency.

  • Communicating regularly with partners during the course development process.

Casual Business Meeting
  • Providing guidelines for placement of content/components into student learning portals.

  • Conceptualizing  instructionally sound, interactive, engaging web-based course components.

  • Conducting quality assurance reviews on courses and implements revisions.

  • Helping to test and implement agreed-upon emerging technologies in courses.

  • Preparing course hand-off documentation and attend hand-off meetings with the mentors and Help Desk teams.

  • Serving as a resource to academic units and partner during course delivery.

  • Attending course revision calls and creates scope documents outlining confirmed revisions from post-course discussions.

  • Ensuring course development is completed on time and within budget and meets standards of quality.

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships and participates in team meetings.
